With a twenty-minute light aircraft transfer from Maun over the southwestern Delta, taking in the magnificence of the winding, papyrus fringed channels that make up one of the worlds greatest wet land wonders your African experience starts.

Gunn’s Camp has achieved a fine balance of comfort without isolating one’s self from the sights and sounds of nature.   You will be met at our private airstrip by the camp managers and taken to the elevated main lodge area where you will enjoy a welcoming refreshment before being shown to your spacious en-suite tent.

The main activities at Gunn's Camp are mokoro (traditional dug out canoes) powerboat excursions, and guided game walks with experienced guides who have spent their lives accumulating knowledge and understanding of the complex ecosystem of the Okavango Delta. As they silently pole through the water one can observe nature with minimal impact and guests will begin to realize the privilege and quiet excitement of being in one of those places that makes for unforgettable memories.

Gunn’s Camp is renowned for being a birders paradise, with over 240 species of bird including the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl and the endangered Wattled Crane. In the evenings you can relax in our elevated main lodge, or lie in the swimming pool sipping your drink watching the majesty of the African sunset, whilst reflecting on your day with fellow guests.
