In the heart of the Okavango Delta on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon within the Moremi Game Reserve one will find Camp Moremi.  Xakanaxa is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana. Camp Moremi is shaded by giant ebony trees.  This magnificent lodge is an elegant elevated thatch and timber structure consisting of a main lounge, wildlife reference library, dining room and stylishly decorated cocktail bar cooled by overhead punkah-punkah fans. A secluded swimming pool, a covered boma and elevated observation platform makes Camp Moremi one of Botswana's finest destinations.

The Moremi Game Reserve contains large areas of permanent water making game viewing during the dry season particularly good as animals are drawn to the water sources.  There are no fences between the Moremi Game Reserve and the private concessions so the entire Okavagno Delta merges into a unified animal kingdom of grand proportions.

 

Camp Moremi accommodates twenty four guests in East African-style safari tents.  Each tent is individually situated on raised teak platforms and is exquisitely furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs. Colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. Each tent has its own private bathroom situated adjacent to the tent with flush toilets and shower facilities.

 

Camp Moremi offers tracking big game on morning and afternoon game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicle, excellent bird-watching and exploring of the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat as activities.
